Awards

 

The Rotary Club of Green Bay provides several annual awards to community leaders and Club members. These include:

  • The annual Free Enterprise Award is presented each year by the Rotary Club of Green Bay to an individual who has created substantial growth of a business entity responsible for providing local employment. Further, through business leadership. the individual has had a significant economic impact on the Brown County area; and the person honored by the Award has been actively involved in local charitable, civic, government or service programs. Started in 1983, this has become a coveted award as list of those earning this award is a “who’s who” of community leaders.
  • The annual Community Leadership award is presented each year by the Rotary Club of Green Bay to recognize a community leader of an organizations with $15 million or less in annual sales or 5-99 employees. Successful nominees must serve as a Leader of an organization (i.e. owner, co-owner, President, CEO, Executive Director, Director, etc.); or have been a Leader within the previous 24 months and represent a for-profit or non-profit organization. The organizations represented must also have an office in Brown County. Started in 2010, recipients must show leadership within the nominee’s own industry; excel at growth and job creation for their organization or the community; and follow the Rotary’s “Four-Way Test” relating to truthfulness, fairness, goodwill and ethics.
  • Paul Harris Fellows recognize anyone who contributes, or in whose name is contributed, a minimum of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation Annual Programs Fund. This fund pays for the grants and awards made by the Foundation including Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships, Group Study Exchange, Health, Hunger and Humanity, and Matching Grants. Our Club has had several individuals recognized.
  • Adult Youth Leadership Award is presented annually to a person or persons who, through their commitment and volunteer spirit, have enriched the lives of Green Bay's youth.
  • Outstanding Rotarian Award is presented by the Club to a member that goes above and beyond in terms of commitment to “Service Above Self.” It is presented to a member as needed at the discretion of the Board.
  • Century Club honors members of the Rotary Club of Green Bay who have served Rotary for many years. Selection is based on a member having his/her combined age and years of service as a Rotarian equal to at least 100. The charter members were inducted April 12, 1999.
