A Message from Club President Barbie Patterson
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Green Bay. Since it’s inception in 1917 with first President James McGillian, the Rotary Club of Green Bay in District 6220 has been comprised of outstanding community members working together to make a difference in the lives of those in need locally and internationally.
Loyal to the Rotary motto of Service Above Self, Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Green Bay have been instrumental in the success of many projects throughout the years including locally the Healthy Teeth, Healthy Kids program; Men’s Closet and Poverty and Hunger Food Drives in partnership with our local community businesses.
Internationally, our club has consistently dedicated its efforts for the global eradication of polio, a Rotary world wide objective that will be accomplished with the financial assistance of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As well, athletic equipment donated to Bolivian children and a mechanical soy cow for a village in Peru have all been worthy projects of giving Rotarians of our Club.
Rotary International’s theme this year is The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands. Keeping within that theme, the Rotary Club of Green Bay will continue the 2008-2009 momentum and focus on four major goals for 2009-2010:
It’s going to be a phenomenal Rotary year… I’m so glad we can make a difference, together.
Yours in Rotary,
